People really love the Amazon Echo, so we decided to give it some love ourselves. Link up your Automatic and Amazon accounts and you can ask Alexa how much fuel you have, get details on the trips you’ve taken, and even see where your car is parked, all with simple voice commands.
Add the Automatic Skill in your Amazon Echo app, sign in, and you’ll have access to a series of commands that make keeping tabs on your car quick, easy, and intuitive.
“Alexa: Ask Automatic, where’s my car?”
Using Automatic’s location abilities, you can find out where your car is parked, and if you have multiple cars on one account, Alexa will read out each vehicle’s location from the latest parking event.
“Alexa: Ask Automatic, what’s my fuel level?”
No need to fret about how much gas you have the night before work. Simply ask the Echo what your fuel level is and Alexa will let you know if you need to stop by the filling station on your way in.
“Alexa: Ask Automatic how much I drove last week?”
If you want to get a quick glimpse of your driving activity, ask Alexa how much you drove in any given period. It could be as simple as “yesterday” or as specific as “two weeks ago”, “last Wednesday”, “in August”, or even “for the year.”
We’ll be adding more functionality as we continue to work with the developer tools, so expect more exciting integrations in the future.
